Award-winning photographer Michel Leroy’s Alchemy series of black and white photos will be on exhibit at the Gallery Max SoHo from October 2nd through the 23rd, with an opening reception on October 2nd from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

This solo exhibit will feature never-before-seen photos from Leroy’s ongoing series that explores the tension between physicality and identity. A panel discussion focusing on body positive issues in contemporary art will take place on October 10th between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Gallery Max.

“The Alchemy series explores the singular beauty of the human form,” says Leroy. “The creative collaboration between myself and the athlete creates moments of pure sculptural balance and anticipation that defines the graceful lines and impossible gestures captured in these images.”
