Orange Promo – NBC Anchor Sara Gore & Celebrity Vietnamese Chef Michael Bao

April 13, 2011

Overview – This series of print/object promos goes to a select “dream” client list, 30+ mailers. Sent as a 5×7” print card with an object in a box, every other month. All of these objects are playfully used in the photos and reinforce the “concept” in the image. Simple and clever cut lines will tie the object and concept together.

Concept – The underlying concept is loosely based on playing with the Michel Leroy Photographer logo, (Orange Circle) and making a connection between the simple object and the image. The logo connection may not be readily apparent, but that’s okay. It was however used as the guiding criteria for the objects. After receiving (5) round orange objects the message should settled in… to one degree or another. Either way, the unique nature of the objects and ‘concept driven visuals’ should become recognizable to even the most inundated designers/art buyers/photo editors. The objects are designed to make the viewer stop, even if just for 5 seconds, to look at the photo – setting the printed image apart from the hundreds of others normally received in the standard promo card format.

April – Oranges (Creating a lot with a little – VALUABLE)
