Pantene Beautiful Lengths

October 15, 2010

I shot an assignment about hair donation two years ago.  It struck me to the core how relevant our self appearance really is and how hair defines a great deal of our personal identity.  What I also got from that assignment was a good dose of empathy.  Of the many organizations that accept donations they all do more than make wigs – what they really do is build self-confidence in the lives of the recipients.  Pantene donates wigs to women undergoing cancer treatments.  It took my wife and I about two years and is a bit of a commitment but imagine an alternative; what if you had to wake up each day for the next two years battling cancer.  You would trade your hair away in the blink of an eye.

Donation is easy and your simple sacrifice really does matter.  Consider it.

Minimum 8″
No color treatments
Less than 5 percent gray (I’m cutting it close on that score, you might say)

In appreciation of the sacrifice that a hair donation requires, Pantene Beautiful Lengths only accepts hair it knows can be used for its intended purposes.
